FIND YOUR PERFECT LEVEL OF COMFORT
Nucleus arrives with all three ThermaFlow™ layers in place. From top to bottom, the order is plush, firm, plush. Below are recommended adjustments based on sleep positions. If you are unsure where to start, try the pillow as it arrives first and adjust from there.
SIDE SLEEPER
Sleep on Nucleus as it arrives: plush layer on top, firm layer in the middle, and plush layer on the bottom. This is the pillow’s highest-loft configuration, designed to support the space between your head and shoulder. If the pillow feels too high, remove one plush layer.
BACK SLEEPER
Remove the bottom plush layer, leaving one plush layer on top and the firm layer underneath it. This lowers the pillow while preserving a softer surface and a stable base. If your chin still feels pushed toward your chest, try the plush layer by itself.
STOMACH SLEEPER
Remove the firm layer and one plush layer, leaving a single plush layer inside. This creates the lowest-loft configuration and helps avoid lifting your head too far from the mattress. If you need slightly more height, add the second plush layer.
COMBINATION SLEEPER
Keep all three layers, but move the firm layer to the bottom. From top to bottom, the order will be plush, plush, firm. This maintains the pillow's full height while creating a softer surface over a more stable base. If the pillow feels too high in any position, remove one plush layer. Give each setup a few nights before making another change. Adjust one layer at a time so you can tell exactly what feels better.

It takes less than a minute. Unzip the cover, remove or reorder the layers, and zip the cover back up. Because the fill is contained in complete layers, there is nothing loose to measure, spill, or store.
Yes. The cover and every internal layer are washable. Follow the final care-label instructions:

Queen is the best starting point for most sleepers and beds. Choose King if you want more room to move or a pillow proportioned for a king bed. Choose Body for full-length support, including side sleeping, support between the knees, or pregnancy.

The soft layers create more give at the surface. The firm layer creates a denser feel and a more stable base. Moving the firm layer closer to your head makes the surface feel firmer; moving it lower creates a softer first contact while preserving support underneath.
[You should not experience any abnormal odors with the nucleus pillow beyond that it is a new item made with natural components. You will not experience the odor of off gassing which can be typical of common foam pillows]
